Since 1991, Piping Repair Technologies (PRT) has been focused specifically on product development, testing and field application of composite materials. During this time, PRT has played a part in the evolution of piping and infrastructure composites by advocating extensive research and ASME testing to create uniform industry standards. We have also been pleased to contribute by being part of the committee developing the ASME PCC-2 industry guidelines. Our goal has always been to establish sound engineering data to design safe, appropriate and viable alternatives to expensive traditional repair and replacement methods. This integral involvement, combined with constant communication from the field, has helped transform modern piping and infrastructure composites into the superior products they are today.

ASME PCC-2 Spool Test Summary

Testing was recently performed on our PowerSleeve® composite system. The 80% wall loss repair was pressurized to 8200 psi (565 bar). It performed as calculated and was a complete success.
